Mannequin heads are everywhere. In fact, it would be weird to NOT see a mannequin head falling out of the closets in the classrooms. Not to mention the mannequin heads that end up in your car, or on the fridge at home. They all serve a purpose. They give you the hands-on experience you need to prepare for the salon styling area, so that you are ready to perform services on real guests!

After a fulfilling day of classes, you eagerly head to the school’s salon styling area, where you will put her newfound skills to the test. The salon is abuzz with activity, as clients stream in seeking everything from bold new haircuts to pampering spa treatments. With your heart racing with excitement, you don your apron and dive into action, ready to unleash creativity and make magic happen. You can bet that you will always remember your first haircut, first color, first highlight, first perm. It’s a time that holds excitement and gives you a glance at exactly what the future can look like in Cosmetology.
As you work your magic on your clients, some of them new, some of them family, some of them friends, a sense of pride washes over you with each satisfied smile and delighted gasp. The instructors hold many years of experience, and you lean on them for guidance. You’re also surrounded by friends and the other students. You bounce ideas off of them and collaborate with other student stylists realizing that the best ideas aren’t always created alone. Appointments conclude, and you hope that you’ve done enough for your patient to come back to her again.
