Looking for the perfect gift for the baseball fanatic in your life? The Arizona Diamondbacks have brought back their wildly popular Ballpark Pass just in time for the holiday season, offering an incredible deal for fans! For a mere $299, you can catch every regular-season home game, plus two preseason exhibition games. That's right, unlimited baseball action!
This isn't a new concept; the Diamondbacks have been innovating in fan engagement for years. They initially launched a Summer Pass, giving fans access to all June, July, and August games. It was such a hit that they expanded it into the Ballpark Pass, covering the entire season.
"It's been a big hit with our fans," says Derrick Hall, Arizona's team president/CEO. "Other teams have followed suit or inquired about the playbook. It's important for us to give fans an affordable option to attend as many games as they would like."
The Ballpark Pass is available for a limited time only, so don't miss out! You can grab yours at dbacks.com/ballparkpass or through the MLB Ballpark App.
How does it work?
During the season, pass holders will receive a text message before each home series, allowing them to opt-in and reserve their seats. Your mobile tickets will be delivered directly to your device via the MLB Ballpark App. Important note: the Ballpark Pass is non-transferable.
But here's where it gets interesting... The Diamondbacks are constantly improving the Ballpark Pass. Now, you can purchase additional guest passes for each game and even link your account with friends to ensure you can all sit together.
And this is the part most people miss... Seat locations will vary from game to game, typically in the upper deck, unless you choose to upgrade through the MLB Ballpark App. This year, you can even purchase the Ballpark Pass as a gift for other fans.
The team has streamlined the process over the years, making it incredibly user-friendly. "They get a mobile notification asking if they want to opt in," Hall explains. "They get their tickets sent right to their phone. It's just so easy and turnkey for the fans, which was important to us. We wanted to make sure that it's not a hassle in any way."
The team usually sells around 4,000 Ballpark Passes each year. Interestingly, many fans who start with the pass eventually upgrade to become Advantage Members, the club's term for season ticket holders.
Advantage Membership plans include full-season, half-season, and weekend or series options. Members enjoy perks like exclusive discounts at the Team Shop and Chase Field concessions, priority access to postseason tickets, and invitations to year-round member-only events.
"We always want to make sure there are options," Hall says. "There are fans that want to just come on weekends, there are fans that just want to go to a certain number of games. What we end up seeing in these cases is that people get used to going to the ballpark. They like going to the games. They then want the perks that every other Advantage Member or season ticket holder has, and they upgrade."
