One of the aspects that differentiate Fallout 4 from previous games in the series is the importance of power armor. While in other titles it is considered a unique and almost legendary outfit, in the latest installment we get one at the beginning of the adventure.
It has its explanation. Power armor is very common in Fallout 4, since there are several models. Most of them belong to the Brotherhood of Steel, although the next-gen update has added the typical armor of the Enclave.
As with weapons and outfits, Bethesda's RPG allows us modify (upgrade) power armor on workbenches.

Tesla coils
A modification that allows you cause electrical damage enemies by simply touching them, similar to what happens with Enclave armor. It is compatible with all power armor models.
Requires rank 3 in Scienceand the following materials: Adhesive (5-10), Aluminum (4-8), Copper (6-12), Fiber Optic (3-6) and Rubber (6-12).
HUD improvement
This upgrade makes the enemies, objects, and characters in front of you more highlighted, which makes it easier for the player to see. It is compatible with all power armor models.
Requires rank 3 in Sciencea Minimum intelligence of 6 and a minimum level of 28in addition to these materials: Adhesive (3-7), Aluminum (2-6), Circuitry (3-7), Copper (0-4) and Gold (0-3).
Emergency protocol
This improvement increases speed by 25% and causes you to take 50% less damage when your health is very low. It can be applied to all power armor models.
Requires Science rank 4a minimum of 6 Intelligence y minimum level of 41. You also need these materials: Adhesive (4-8), Aluminum (4-8), Circuitry (6-12) and Nuclear Material (5-10).
medical pump
An improvement that may seem scarce, but is very useful. Basically, injects a stimulant every time your health drops below 50%. It is compatible with all models.
Requires a Science rank 4a minimum of Intelligence 6 y level 41 at least, in addition to these materials: Adhesive (4-8), Aluminum (3-6), Antiseptic (5-10), Circuitry (2-4).
Backpack
As its name suggests, this upgrade allows the player propel yourself into the sky using action points. It's not as spectacular as it sounds, but you can use it on the T-45, T-51, T-60, and X-01 power armor models.
Requires Science rank 4 y Armorer Rank 4with minimum levels of 41 (Science) and 39 (Armorer), and Intelligence 6 and Strength 3 statistics. Additionally, these materials are needed: Adhesive (4-7), Aluminum (6-10), Asbestos (5-9) and Nuclear Material (7-12).
Kinetic ends
It is a very useful improvement, because it makes you recover action points (necessary to run, jump or use VATS) more quickly. It is suitable for all power armor models.
Requires a Science rank 2, level 17 at least one Intelligence of 6in addition to these materials: Adhesive (3-6), Aluminum (3-6) and Nuclear Material (2-4).
Explosive shielding
With this upgrade, your character will take 2% less damage from explosions on each piece of power armor. It is only compatible with models T-45, T-51, T-60 and X-01.
Requires a Science rank 1, Minimum intelligence of 6 and of the following materials: Adhesive (4-6), Aluminum (2-4) and Ceramic (4-6).
Titanium coating
Perhaps the best modification of Fallout 4, since increases your health by 10% when you're wearing power armor. It is suitable for all power armor models.
Requires a Armorer Rank 3and minimum Strength 3 and a level 25 minimumin addition to: Adhesive (2-6), Aluminum (3-8) and Steel (0-4).
