Visit Us

We look forward to welcoming you for a day out exploring art set within 500 acres of 18th-century landscape.

We're currently in exhibition change-over preparing the Underground Gallery for Bharti Kher: Alchemies which opens on 22 June. The gallery is closed and some areas of the Bothy Garden may be closed while our team install new sculptures. Take a look at our What's On page to see all the things you can see and do during your visit.

Enjoy blooms of wildflowers in the spring, summer strolls around the lake, and inspiring and changing exhibitions. Visit as many times as you like during opening hours between 4 April–29 September 2024 with our Spring/Summer Visitor Pass, or pop in after school with adult entry to YSP just £3 after 3pm. 1. Art Outdoors Sol LeWitt: 123454321 123454321 expresses LeWitt’s approach to minimalist composition. It is a construction of cinder blocks set in a formal arrangement. Each series of blocks is in the proportion 1:1:2. This ratio forms the sequence for the whole structure and is typical of his use of simple numerical systems and serial progressions. The work has a restrained and calculated beauty, which stems from the purity of mathematical principles.

  4. Art Outdoors Henry Moore: Upright Motives No. 1 (Glenkiln Cross): No 2; No 7 Moore created twelve Upright Motives in the mid 1950s. In their powerful symbolism these pieces owe much to the tall, upright stones, known as menhirs, from prehistoric times. Moore brought all these influences together to create forms which are unmistakably his own.
