Beware of Comenity Bank and Bread Financial!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!They closed my credit card that did not expire until 7/2024…. The reason I was told:“ We received a notice that your credit score changed”!!! They cancelled my zales card on an account that I had for almost 12 years!!! Never missed a payment! Always kept my account current, but because I bought a house and my credit score changed, they close my account, and to top it all off, WITH NO NOTICE!!!I never expected anything like that!I found out that my account was closed when I went to buy my wife a Christmas present!! And not to mention the WORST customer service, WORST business ever! Why they shut down someone’s account because a change in credit score, I can see if they would have decreased my credit limit. But, an account with a card that no payments where missed and always paid on time.ZALES has hit the bottom by partnering with Bread Financial.Absolutely the worst combination..I used to recommend Zales credit card to anyone!! But that has ended!!!That’s so sad too!

Trash Can Money! What is trash can money you might be asking? Trash can money is money you are throwing away and do not realize it. If you have a merchant processing account and take credit card payments of at least $250,000 annually, let me do a free audit and put that trash can money back in your pocket. I am not going to change your merchant account and you will still process with who you already process with. There is No risk and No obligation.#merchantaccount #creditcard #creditcardpayments #trashcanmoney #creditcardprocessing

I grew up without a credit card.( little did I know how much I was missing out on )I thought that theywere only for people who couldn’t afford what they wanted, the ones who spent too much.“If you can’t buy it using cash, you can’t afford it.”But I was wrong. Here are a few reasons they are better than cash:1. Convenience - I never have cash.2. Security - If stolen, can be quickly turned off.3. Keep track of what you buy - I have no idea what I bought this past week with cash.4. You need a credit history - Excellent credit opens many doors5. Travel benefits - Free insurance? Yes, please. 6. Having 30 days to pay = keeping cash in my bank account, earning interest7. Rewards - Credit card rewards can be lucrative8. Other benefits - Depends on cards, for example, free warranty extensionsOf course, you have to pay off the card monthly to avoid getting charged extra.By using cash instead of credit, you’re literally losing out.Don’t forget that most debit cards don’t have all these benefits either.Credit is a tool.Use it to your benefit.

You know we always say that paying your credit card bill on time is one of the most important things you can do to maintain a good credit score (and avoid paying big late fees! 😊). But stuff happens. What if you miss the deadline? If you usually pay on time, it’s worth it to call the customer service line at the credit card company and ask politely if they could please waive any late charges. There’s no guarantee that they will, but it’s definitely worth the effort. 💪💰#financialknowledge #financialeducationmatters #moneytips

There just isn’t much information out there for community banks about how to manage our relationships or agreements with merchant service providers. I spent 45 minutes trying to find a single article about this question and couldn’t find one for you. What is the difference between an Agent Bank Agreement and a Referral Agreement? What should the pricing and rev share look like in these differing arrangements? How much leverage do banks have to negotiate more favorable terms and residuals with our processing vendors? How can banks make sure that our customers are getting fairly priced? What should we be looking for on our monthly residual reports? Are our residuals going up or down? Why?Most banks are looking at their non-interest based fee income more closely in these leaner times. But how do we know what to look for when it comes to revenue from credit and debit card payment processing activity? We understand so much about pricing and revenue for virtually every product that we offer…so why don’t we know more about merchant services? Anyways, here’s a silly picture of my dog, Athena, to get your attention. Be well, friends!

One thing I have learned since I began in the merchant services processing industry, too many merchants negotiating savings on their own congratulate themselves prematurely on results without realizing they could have done much better with professionals handling the situation. A lot of money is left behind due to ignorance of the credit card payment industry. A merchant left $6,500 a month ($78,000 in a year), another $2,000 ($48,000). A client who accepted our offer after a 4 year wait, could have saved an extra $120,000, had they accepted our initial offer (they did, however, save $90,000 during our coverage period and due to the Code of Conduct, their fees and rates will never be able to climb back to where they were before our intervention).Every month, money is flowing from your account to your merchant processor. The question remains, would you prefer the money stay in your account or flow to theirs?

I bet you didn’t know this…But I bought this coffee for absolutely free! A lot of people have a notion that credit cards are BAD. But I feel you can use a credit card just as you use a debit card and enjoy super amazing offers + a real good credit score. Paying your bills on time is as good as using a debit card. Here’s how you can use a credit card in the smartest way possible: 1️⃣Make Payments On Time: Late payments can hurt your credit score and result in late fees and high-interest charges.2️⃣Keep Your Credit Utilization Low: Keeping this percentage low (ideally below 30%) can help improve your credit score.3️⃣Don't Overspend: Try to only charge the expenses you can afford to pay off in full each month. 4️⃣Use Rewards to Your Advantage: Choose a card that aligns with your spending habits and lifestyle to get the most out of your rewards.5️⃣Check Your Credit Card Statements: Ensure to monitor your credit card statements closely, checking for any unauthorized transactions or errors.I am sure if you use a credit card and pay bills on time, you will be ahead of others🚀#creditcard #business #finance
